I am an interdisciplinary artist working with mediums ranging from chalk pastel to oil paint, and mud puddles to glitter glue; I enjoy any project I can dig my hands into and feel. I use my drawing and painting practice as a way to explore scales of time and space, cycles of life and decomposition, and the repetition of forms found throughout nature and the greater universe. A lot of my work considers how different materials, from cellular structures in your body to natural fibers in thread, weave together and combine to build stronger, complex forms. My process includes intuitive creative responses to my exploration of biology and cosmology; pattern and surface; mess and connection. In my future projects, I aspire to combine Arts-Based research, ecological exploration, and deep listening to inform Earth-based and textile sculpture grounded in regenerative practices of community building, food sovereignty, and eco-justice.
